Volodymyr Zelenskyi granted the state award to Bogdan Strutynskyi.

1-189Today Volodymyr Zelenskyi the President of Ukraine  presented the Order of Merit of the First Degree to Bogdan Strutynskyi the Head of the National Operetta of Ukraine.
During the awarding of prominent Ukrainians on the occasion of Constitution Day, Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that the state award is an opportunity to demonstrate that the talented citizens are not indifferent to Ukraine.
“Everyone has a different attitude to state awards: some people have been waiting for it all their lives, some say it is a relic of the Soviet Union. For some people, especially for folk artists, TV presenters and celebrities, it’s just a reward. First of all, it seems to me that this is very important for the state, because it definitely knows whom it awards. There are many areas where people are really talented, but no one knows about them because they are not shown on TV every day, but they do a lot for Ukraine – Volodymyr Zelenskyi stressed.
During the award ceremony, Bogdan Strutynskyi, General Director and Artistic Director of the Operetta Theater, noted that this award is a recognition of the achievements of his team. He stressed that the state should focus more on supporting the art.
“Art is responsible not only for logic, but also for the state of mind. It allows other people in other fields to get energy for their creation, to discover themselves more. Therefore, the art must unambiguously  have a special state program to support it. Because without the program we will not know what to build and where to move, – Bogdan Strutynskyi said.
It’s worth to remind that on June 27, 2020, on the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi the President of Ukraine signed Decree №254 / 2020 on granting state awards for significant personal contribution to state building, strengthening national security, socio-economic, scientific, technical, cultural and educational development of the Ukrainian state and significant labor achievements.
