The National Operetta of Ukraine congratulated Andriyivsky Descent on its birthday

On Saturday, September 12, the orchestra of the National Operetta of Ukraine took part in the celebration of the birthday of Andriyivskyi Descent. A festive program with gifts, dances, songs, master classes and a fair of masters was prepared for the visitors. However, the organizers said that performance of the orchestra of the Operetta Theater directed by Oksana Madarash the conductor, who, by the way, celebrated her own birthday this day is the main event of the holiday.

“The performance on the balcony of St. Andrew Church, the panorama of ancient streets and the majestic Dnipro inspires and adds bright emotions. We were happy to give the guests of the magical corner of Kyiv beautiful music performed by us! The exquisite music of the Strauss family, P. Maiboroda, A. Khachaturian, J. Offenbach – the most favorite works of our audience were performed, so that the audience completely enjoyed the wonderful music and live sound, “said Oksana Madarash.

The National Operetta of Ukraine has been joining the celebration of the birthday of the most famous street in Kyiv for the third time.

“Today, the culture, as never before, has faced with many challenges, but at the same time there are many opportunities. People missed good classical music, and we missed the audience, so today performance was much more emotional, pleasant and very much awaited, “said Bogdan Strutynskyi the director of Operetta Theater.

Traditionally, the celebration of Andriyivskyi  Descent takes place within two days, but due to the growing number of patients with Covid-19, the organizers three times reduced the celebration program and instead of the usual two days celebration there was only one day.

“We removed contact events and children entertainment activities from the program. Guests were asked to keep their distance, wear masks, use antiseptics. We understand that the number of guests of our holiday has also decreased, so we attracted the public through the online broadcast. We are grateful to everyone who supported and joined the celebration, ” – said Tatiana Mitrofanova the organizer of the event.
